What I Wish I Knew
If you had told me a year ago that I would be attending my dream school, achieving every milestone I strived for, and having the confidence I do today, I’m not sure I would’ve believed you. But then again, the Kylee today is not the Kylee from a year ago. Not only did I academically succeed, but I also persevered through many difficult tasks, including becoming an officer in the FFA and navigating the anxiety of college preparations. This is truly my best year, because of everything that has happened in the 17 years leading up to this moment. It seems like just yesterday. I was a Junior at Shenandoah High School. An upperclassman, but not a senior, so I knew I still had a lot to prove. With that came much self-searching, and goal seeking. I will admit it was a little daunting at times, knowing that next year would be my final year. But it empowered me; it made me focused and driven.
